Be Old and Ridiculous

Boomers use to "Be Young, Be Foolish, But Be Happy," but now, let's face facts here, they ain't so young. Might as well face the music (pun intended!) and "Be Old and Ridiculous."

There's this old hippie gal comes into the McDonalds where me and the boys congregate some Saturday mornings. She looks like she's been laying out in the sun since Woodstock, like a prune, but she was my inspiration for this tune.
I didn't put her in the video 'cause she's kinda homely so feel free to watch it here...
Some illustrations from the video as drawn by Lester Picasso...

lyrics

You're never too old to sing along to the lyrics....

Find some old bell bottoms, Put flowers in your hair.
Buy yourself some love beads, Let your grandkids stare.
Dance the mashed potato, Go streak around the mall.
Talk about all your pills, And don't forget your Geritol.

Be old and ridiculous, Be old and ridiculous.
Until they sock it to ya, A little dab will do ya.
If this old world's confusing and makes you want to cuss,
Well, here's some advice for the boomer crowd,
Be old and ridiculous.

Test drive a Ferrari, stop playing solitaire.
Kiss a long lost sweetheart, tell them you still care.
You need no senior discount, To ride this prankster's bus.
All you need to book this trip, Is be old and ridiculous.

Be old and ridiculous, Be old and ridiculous.
Until they sock it to ya, A little dab will do ya.
If this old world's confusing and makes you want to cuss,
Well, here's some advice for the boomer crowd,
Be old and ridiculous.

Just go ahead and be old and ridiculous. It don't matter. Don't worry 'bout what the neighbor's gonna think. Before long, even they'll be wishing they were old and ridiculous.
